Many friends could not help but be moved when entering the funeral home and hearing familiar sounds they had heard during warm gatherings at the home of painter Le Thiet Cuong.

Loving music , especially chamber music, symphonies and rock, in Le Thiet Cuong's house on Ly Quoc Su street there is almost always gentle music, among paintings, statues, books, vases of fresh flowers, especially fragrant roses, and soft, affectionate human voices.
The family chose classical music that Le Thiet Cuong often listened to during his lifetime to welcome his beloved friends who came to say goodbye to him. That aesthetic man, who had been immersed in art and culture all his life, was also sent off by his family and friends in beauty when he passed away.
On his last day, in the familiar house with his old mother and children, his mother also played the music that her son loved. The brown ceramic vases that he wrote and drew Buddhist scriptures on were also filled with fragrant rose branches.

Many close friends and juniors such as painter Dinh Cong Dat, writer Nguyen Viet Ha, director Viet Tu, writer Do Bich Thuy... consider Le Thiet Cuong's passing as Hanoi losing a part of its streets.

In his eulogy for painter Le Thiet Cuong, painter Luong Xuan Doan - President of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, shared his special personal and shared feelings for Le Thiet Cuong at the house at 39A Ly Quoc Su for several decades.

Le Thiet Cuong was born in 1962 in Hanoi into an artistic family, with his father being poet Le Nguyen and his mother being cameraman Do Phuong Thao. He calls musician Hoang Van "young man".
Le Thiet Cuong served in the army for a while (1980-1984) and then returned to study art design at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema (1985-1990).
He has been a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association since 1992.
During his vibrant painting career, Le Thiet Cuong has held 26 solo exhibitions at home and abroad since 1991 and many group exhibitions.
His works are in the collections of the Singapore Art Museum (SAM), the Royal de Mariemont Museum (Kingdom of Belgium) and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.
Le Thiet Cuong won 2 Good Design Awards (Japan) in 2003 - 2004, 2005 - 2006.
In addition to holding a brush and drawing pen, Le Thiet Cuong also contributed a lot to culture through in-depth articles about traditional culture and Hanoi culture in newspapers, magazines, and books.

It is known that the artist passed away while there were still several unfinished books, including The Market Voice (Tre Publishing House) at the printing house. The artist had time to hold the book in his hands for a proof before passing away.
