Pig price today June 19
* Pig prices in the Northern region are quiet.

The remaining provinces and cities buy live pigs at prices ranging from 60,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.
Today's live pig price in the North is between 59,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.
* Pig market prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions have stagnated.
Of which, live pigs in Nghe An province are traded at 61,000 VND/kg.
57,000 - 60,000 VND/kg is the price range recorded in the remaining localities.
Currently, the purchase price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is around 57,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.
* The live pig market in the Southern region is stable.
Specifically, the lowest transaction level in the region is 57,000 VND/kg, continuing to be recorded in Vinh Long .
Other localities maintain purchasing prices from 58,000 VND/kg to 60,000 VND/kg.
The price of live pigs in the Southern region today is around 57,000 - 60,000 VND/kg.
* Explaining the current price increase trend, many industry experts said that from the end of 2022 to the beginning of this year, the price of live pigs has continuously decreased sharply, at times only 48,000-49,000 VND/kg.
This has caused heavy losses for farmers, leading to a decrease in the total herd, especially for small households. That is why there is currently a shortage of supply, especially in the northern provinces.
Mr. Nguyen Kim Doan, Vice President of the Dong Nai Province Livestock Association, said that at present, livestock farmers are breathing a sigh of relief because in addition to the trend of increasing pork prices, feed prices are also decreasing.
Most recently, on June 14, large animal feed suppliers officially reduced prices for the second time since the beginning of the year, with an average reduction of 300 - 400 VND/kg/time, depending on the type.
This is very positive information because compared to the beginning of the year, animal feed suppliers only reduced prices through promotions.
The current problem of pig farmers is only to worry about disease prevention, especially African swine fever, and to properly treat the farming environment according to state regulations.
Currently, Dong Nai province authorities are strengthening inspection and supervision of environmental treatment at livestock facilities throughout the area.
"It is not certain, but in my experience, there are many signals for farmers to hope for an optimistic price in the near future such as: the price of live pigs of large enterprises is increasing, the price of piglets is increasing and the price of animal feed is decreasing," Mr. Doan analyzed.
