Pig price developments in the South
In the Southern region, the price of live pigs continues to lead the country, fluctuating between 73,000 - 75,000 VND/kg. Overview of the live pig market last week
Looking back at the past week, the price of live pigs nationwide has fluctuated mostly sideways, with the common price range from 67,000 - 75,000 VND/kg. While the North and South maintained stability, the Central region recorded some slight downward adjustments.
Although supply shows signs of shrinking, pig prices have not fluctuated much due to weak market demand. Supermarket systems and processing enterprises are still maintaining moderate purchasing levels, waiting for clearer signals from the consumer market.
According to experts, the sideways trend is likely to continue into next week because the supply-demand balance has not yet changed significantly.
