Gia Lai promotes agricultural products to penetrate deeply into the Chinese market

DNVN - With the participation of hundreds of businesses from both countries, the upcoming export promotion conference in Pleiku will be a boost for Gia Lai agricultural products to penetrate deeper into the Chinese market.

During 2 days (August 17-18) in Pleiku ward, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee will organize a Conference to promote exports to the Chinese market, with the participation of about 300 delegates, along with enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments of Gia Lai and a business delegation from Guangxi (China).

The conference to promote exports to the Chinese market is a key activity to promote key agricultural products and OCOP products of Gia Lai province.

Within the framework of the conference, typical agricultural products of Gia Lai will be displayed and introduced to international partners, including coffee, pepper, chili, coconut, honey, macadamia nuts, cashew nuts, durian, banana, passion fruit, fruit, bird's nest, seafood, etc.

In addition, there are typical rural industrial products and local OCOP goods. This is an opportunity for Gia Lai enterprises to affirm the quality and competitive advantages of their products, as well as build their brands in the international market.

Before entering the official conference session, the Chinese business delegation will participate in a field survey program in key agricultural production areas of the province.

The planned itinerary includes visits to banana, passion fruit, durian and coffee growing areas, helping partners gain a realistic view of the scale and quality of raw material areas. This survey activity is considered an important opportunity for businesses from both sides to establish trust, opening up prospects for long-term cooperation.

In addition to the exhibition, the conference will organize exchange and discussion sessions on the production and supply capacity of Gia Lai’s agricultural products and OCOP products, as well as import demand from the Chinese market. Representatives of ministries, sectors and businesses from both sides will share information and experience, and seek cooperation opportunities in production, processing and consumption of products.

Within the framework of the conference, it is expected that many memorandums of understanding will be signed between Gia Lai enterprises and Chinese enterprises, revolving around the fields of purchasing, processing and distributing agricultural products. This is expected to be a practical step to form a stable and sustainable production and consumption chain, thereby increasing the added value of Central Highlands agricultural products.

After the conference, on August 19, the Chinese delegation and enterprises will attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the concentrated agricultural and forestry processing factory of Vinanutrifood Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company, in Tay Son commune (Gia Lai).

Vinanutrifood Binh Dinh's high-tech agricultural and forestry processing factory in Gia Lai is expected to meet the strict traceability requirements of the Chinese market.

This is a project with an investment capital of hundreds of billions of VND, with the goal of becoming a modern processing center, contributing to increasing the value of agricultural products and creating more momentum for export development in the Central Highlands region. The application of AI and blockchain in the management of growing and processing areas not only improves productivity and quality, but also meets the strict requirements of the Chinese market on traceability.

Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee affirmed that this export promotion conference is not only a product promotion event, but also a strategic step to enhance competitiveness and effectively exploit the potential and advantages of the locality. At the same time, the conference contributes to realizing the policy of the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade on promoting trade promotion activities, goods consumption, towards sustainable development and deep integration.
