Pests and diseases such as leaf blight, grain discoloration, neck blast, and leaf blast have affected over 1,700 hectares, mainly appearing on rice during the heading, flowering, and ripening stages.
The agricultural sector is focusing on directing pest and disease control efforts in rice cultivation, strengthening communication and mobilization efforts to encourage farmers to regularly inspect their fields to promptly detect pests and diseases and take appropriate control measures.
For rice fields that have already been harvested, farmers need to clean the fields and prepare the necessary conditions for the 2026 Summer-Autumn crop./.
