Today, November 2nd, rice prices in the Mekong Delta region increased for both paddy and milled rice. Specifically, the price of OM 18 paddy rose sharply by 1,000 – 1,200 VND/kg. The price of milled rice increased slightly by 50 VND/kg.
According to an update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, today's rice prices have been adjusted compared to yesterday. IR 50404 is priced at 6,700 – 7,100 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice at 7,300 – 7,600 VND/kg; OM 18 rice at 8,400 – 8,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 – 1,200 VND/kg; OM 380 rice fluctuates between 7,000 – 7,200 VND/kg; Nhat rice at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; and Nang Nhen (dried) rice at 20,000 VND/kg.

In the rice market, prices in Dong Thap and An Giang remained stable, but transactions of newly harvested rice were slow and purchasing power was low.
In addition, the glutinous rice market remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Long An IR 4625 glutinous rice (fresh) was priced at 7,800 – 7,900 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday. Long An IR 4625 glutinous rice (dried) was priced at 9,600 – 9,800 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday.
In the rice market, localities such as An Giang, Soc Trang, and Dong Thap have observed sluggish trading, slow purchasing by warehouses, limited supply of high-quality rice, and stable prices for all types of rice.
On the rice market, prices have been adjusted compared to yesterday. Currently, the price of IR 504 summer-autumn raw rice is 10,600 – 10,700 VND/kg, an increase of 50 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of finished IR 504 rice is 12,550 – 12,650 VND/kg, also an increase of 50 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Regarding by-products, the prices of various by-products range from 6,700 to 9,600 VND/kg. Currently, the price of OM 5451 broken rice is 9,300 – 9,600 VND/kg; the price of dry rice bran has risen to 6,700 – 6,800 VND/kg, an increase of 300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
At retail markets, rice prices remained unchanged for individual rice varieties. Currently, Nang Nhen rice is listed at the highest price of 28,000 VND/kg. However, the price of regular rice continues to be fixed at around 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg, fragrant rice at 17,000 – 23,000 VND/kg. Jasmine rice is 17,000 – 18,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is 21,500 VND/kg; regular white rice fluctuates around 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain Thai fragrant rice is 20,000 – 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice is 23,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 21,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice is 18,500 VND/kg; and Thai Soc rice is 21,000 VND/kg. Japanese rice costs 22,000 VND/kg.
On the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice was priced at US$427/ton; standard 5% broken rice at US$524/ton; and 25% broken rice at US$495/ton.
