In Lap Vo and Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the amount of goods arriving is small, the price is almost unchanged. In An Cu (Dong Thap), transactions are still slow, the price is stable.

In the retail market, the prices of all types of rice remained the same as yesterday. Other popular and fragrant rice types such as Jasmine, Taiwan, Nang Hoa, Soc Thuong or popular white rice have prices ranging from 15,000 - 21,000 VND/kg.

Coffee price today October 9: Slight decrease domestically, world price rebounds

The domestic coffee market on October 9 recorded a slight decrease, with an average decrease of VND 1,000/kg compared to yesterday. In the Central Highlands, coffee prices are currently fluctuating between VND 113,000 - 114,000/kg, showing that the domestic market remains stable despite small adjustments after many strong increases.

In Lam Dong, traders are purchasing coffee at around VND113,000/kg, down VND1,000 compared to yesterday. Dak Lak - the locality with the largest coffee output in the country - recorded a price of VND114,000/kg, a similar decrease. In Gia Lai, the current transaction price is VND113,500/kg, also down slightly by VND1,000/kg. Despite the price decrease, purchasing demand remains stable, with no signs of strong fluctuations.

Along with Robusta, Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor also increased sharply. On the Brazilian exchange, Arabica prices fluctuated in opposite directions. The December 2025 contract decreased slightly by 0.66% to 458.25 US cents/pound, while the March 2026 contract increased sharply by 2.18% to 453.3 US cents/pound.

This increase is said to come from the fact that Robusta supply remains tight while global roasted demand is recovering.

This development reflects expectations of Arabica output being affected by dry weather in Brazil and Colombia.

Pepper price today October 9: Slight increase of 1,000 VND/kg, domestic market improves

The domestic pepper market today recorded a slight increase of 500 - 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Currently, pepper prices are fluctuating between 146,000 - 148,000 VND/kg, showing a positive signal after many long stable sessions.

The Southeast region also recorded a slight increase. In Ho Chi Minh City, pepper prices reached 146,500 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg. Dong Nai had similar prices, fluctuating around 146,000 - 146,500 VND/kg, depending on the quality of the goods.

Purchasing activities at agents and traders show signs of being more active, however the volume of goods traded is still not much because farmers are holding goods waiting for higher prices.

Although the increase is not large, the upward price trend shows that the market is showing signs of recovery after a period of quiet trading.

In the world market, pepper prices recorded mixed movements among major producing countries. In Indonesia, Lampung black pepper prices were traded at 7,221 USD/ton, down slightly by 0.28% compared to yesterday. The price of white pepper in this country also decreased similarly, down to 10,075 USD/ton.

Overall, domestic pepper prices are showing signs of a slight recovery, reflecting increasing import demand from major markets such as the US and Europe. Although the increase is not strong, this upturn is expected to continue in the coming time as global supply remains limited.

Durian price today October 9: Thai durian maintains the highest level of over 105,000 VND/kg, stable market

In the Central Highlands, the price of selected Thai durian is fluctuating from 86,000 - 106,000 VND/kg, the highest price in the country. The bulk durian is only about 40,000 - 50,000 VND/kg, less than half of the selected type. Meanwhile, Ri6 durian - a popular variety in the West - still maintains the price of 42,000 - 50,000 VND/kg for the premium type and 24,000 - 26,000 VND/kg for the bulk type.

In general, domestic durian prices remain stable thanks to steady domestic demand and no sudden increase in supply. Durian orchards in Dong Nai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong and Tien Giang have all recorded stable transaction volumes, with no signs of price pressure or shortage.

On the international market, notable news comes from Indonesia, a country that is trying to expand its direct durian exports to China. According to Flesh Plaza, most of Indonesia’s durian is currently exported to Thailand and Malaysia, then re-exported to China. This results in the country only earning about 10% of the profit.

Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono said Indonesia is actively negotiating with China to establish a direct export route, expecting profits to triple to about 30% of the value. He added that cutting out the middleman would help Indonesia increase its competitiveness and assert its position in the Asian durian market.

Competition among durian exporting countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia is forecast to become increasingly fierce in the coming time, as the Chinese market - the largest consumer in the region - continues to expand its import demand for this fruit.

Pig price today October 9: Slight decrease in the North and South, stable in the Central region

The domestic pig market on October 9 recorded a slight decrease in some provinces in the North and South, while the Central Highlands region continued to maintain stability. Currently, the price of live pigs nationwide is fluctuating between 50,000 - 55,000 VND/kg.

Rubber price today October 9: World market fluctuates in opposite directions, domestic price remains stable

The world rubber market on October 9 recorded mixed trends between regions. While Thai rubber prices increased, those in Japan and China remained stable, while Singapore saw a slight decrease.

In the international market, rubber prices in Thailand increased by 1%, equivalent to 0.69 Baht, to 67.37 Baht/kg. In Japan (OSE), rubber prices remained almost unchanged, remaining at 300.3 Yen/kg.

On the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), the price of natural rubber for delivery in October 2025 fell 1.44% to 14,265 yuan/ton. On the Singapore Exchange (SGX), the price of TSR20 rubber for delivery in October 2025 also fell 2.9 cents/kg to 170 cents/kg.

At the Osaka Exchange, the contract for delivery in March 2025 fell 1.6 yen, or 0.52%, to 303.4 yen per kilogram (about $2.01 per kilogram).

Rubber prices in Japan are in a tug-of-war due to low liquidity and weak international demand. Although the weakening yen has helped to limit the decline, the market has yet to show clear signs of recovery, analysts said.

Globally, the auto industry is making notable moves. In South Africa, Chinese automaker Chery is in talks to set up a local assembly line. If implemented, the move could impact the global supply-demand balance for rubber and tires, and thus affect price trends in the coming period.

Domestically, the rubber market remains stable. Major companies continue to maintain purchasing prices to stabilize output and ensure raw material supply.

At Ba Ria Rubber Company, the price of latex is purchased at 405 VND/TSC degree/kg (TSC degree from 25 to under 30), DRC coagulated latex (35 - 44%) is at 14,200 VND/kg, and raw latex is about 19,000 VND/kg.

Phu Rieng Company announced the purchase price of mixed latex at 390 VND/DRC and water latex at 420 VND/TSC. At Mang Yang Company, the price of water latex was maintained at around 398 - 403 VND/TSC, while mixed latex was stable at around 346 - 395 VND/DRC, depending on the type.
