Perfecting policies to promote creative startups

Within the framework of the Nghe An Open Innovation Startup Festival 2025, at Nghe An University, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) coordinated with the People's Committee of Nghe An province to organize a workshop to perfect policies to promote innovation startups in 2025.

Attending the workshop on the side of VCCI were Mr. Bui Trung Nghia - Vice President of Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, representative of the Department of Startups and Technology Enterprises, Ministry of Science and Technology; representative of the Department of Science and Technology of Ninh Binh province and Da Nang city; representative of VCCI Nghe An - Ha Tinh - Quang Binh branch.

On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Also participating were representatives of departments, branches, Business Association and the Board of Directors of Nghe An University.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Nghe An has made efforts and affirmed its position and increasingly important contributions to the economic development of the North Central region and the whole country.
In economic development and industrialization, Nghe An pays special attention to promoting innovation and startups, considering this a new driving force for the province's socio-economic growth to be green and sustainable.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The 4th industrial revolution opens up great opportunities but also many challenges. To make innovation the key to improving productivity, quality and competitiveness, aiming to build Nghe An into an innovation center in the North Central region, Nghe An will implement 3 strategic orientations: Developing a comprehensive creative startup ecosystem; perfecting policy mechanisms, creating a favorable environment; developing high-quality human resources, especially the young generation.

At this Forum, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Nghe An commits to creating the most favorable conditions for creative ideas to be tested, developed and succeeded right in Nghe An; at the same time, quickly concretize the recommendations and initiatives of the Forum into feasible policies and more specific actions. In addition, continue to expand national and international cooperation to make innovation a central driving force in the socio-economic development of the province and the region.

Next, experts and managers from the Department of Startups and Technology Enterprises (Ministry of Science and Technology); Departments of Science and Technology of provinces and cities exchanged information on the situation of supporting creative startups and supporting small and medium enterprises in each locality and unit.

Participating in the Forum, authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Nguyen Quy Linh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An discussed the results of implementing policies to support scientific and technological innovation and startups in the area; the situation of consulting on policies to support science and technology and some orientations to perfect the legal corridor of policies on scientific and technological innovation and creative startups into practice.
