Highlights: a corner of the house with rammed earth walls, stone walls and a bunch of red roses

The persimmon tree is located in the SEEME accommodation area. The homestay owner, Ms. Linh, said that she brought the tree from Ha Giang to plant in 2023 to decorate the space of the ancient house. The idea is to place the tree close to the stone fence, so that the red color of the fruit stands out against the mossy wall and the yin-yang tiled roof.

“From the first days of building this accommodation, I have cherished the idea of planting some familiar native trees such as peach, pear, plum, persimmon or wind chime to create a unique mark. As for the persimmon tree, I deliberately placed it close to the stone fence, because I imagined the day when the clusters of red fruit would stand out against the mossy wall and the ancient earthen house behind would be very beautiful,” Ms. Linh shared.

Behave civilly when checking in

Besides the joy of getting attention for their destination, the homestay owner admits that fame comes with inconveniences: crowds affect the movement of guests and neighbors, some people enter the house without permission, sit on the stone fence, climb trees or pick fruit.

“This affects the movement of homestay tourists and the surrounding area. Many people jostle and push each other to take photos or gather and laugh until late at night. Some people even arbitrarily open the door to enter the house, sit on the stone fence, climb trees or pick fruit to try, causing insecurity and affecting the beauty. I hope that everyone comes to take souvenir photos in an orderly and civilized manner, so that the persimmon tree can still feel happy because it suffers in the media and not in real life,” Linh told Ngoi Sao.

Tips for visitors: go on weekdays or choose quiet times to limit waiting; line up in an orderly manner; do not climb or pick fruit; keep quiet after dark; respect the privacy of the host and the community.
