Water prices in Quang Nam increased by nearly 13%

Quang Nam province has just agreed to increase the price of domestic water in the area by about 12.97%, according to the proposal of Quang Nam Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company (QNaWaco).

On October 30, Mr. Nguyen Hong Quang - Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee signed an official dispatch agreeing to allow QNaWaco to increase water prices by about 12.97% compared to before, applicable to target groups, from the collection period of October 2023.

Specifically, the new price of domestic water for households ranges from 6,967 VND/m3 to 12,193 VND/m3; for administrative agencies, the price is 10,451 VND/m3; for material production activities, the price is 12,193 VND/m3; and for business services, the price is 14,805 VND/m3.

The new water price applied in Quang Nam is currently much higher than the domestic water price in Da Nang City. Specifically, in 6 districts of Da Nang City, the price of domestic water for residents ranges from 4,000 VND/m3 to 6,000 VND/m3; for administrative purposes, the price is 6,800 VND/m3; for material production, the price is 8,900 VND/m3; for business services, the price is 13,500 VND/m3 (all prices above include tax). Ha Nam publicly announced 132 cases of tax debt of more than 71 billion VND

On November 11, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province announced that the Phu Ly - Kim Bang Regional Tax Department (Ha Nam Provincial Tax Department) has just publicly disclosed information on 132 taxpayers who still owe taxes and other revenues to the state budget.
