Gold price today increased very strongly
At around 6:00 a.m. on April 11 (Vietnam time), the spot gold price on the world market jumped to 3,186 USD/ounce, up 86 USD compared to the lowest price in last night's trading session of 3,100 USD/ounce.
Gold prices rose sharply today as the US stock market once again fluctuated due to concerns about the US-China trade war. The Dow Jones index fell sharply by 1,014 points, the Nasdaq fell by 737 points, and the S&P 500 fell by 188 points.
Accordingly, many stock investors have shifted to precious metals, helping to increase the demand for capital shelter. Gold prices today of course increased sharply.
On the other hand, the USD fell sharply due to the cooling of inflation data in the US. Crude oil futures also fell to $59.25/barrel. The increase in gold prices today was further supported by these factors.
Meanwhile, the World Gold Council said that growing concerns about slower US economic growth have prompted investors to pour money into gold. The most obvious sign was that in March 2025, gold investment funds bought 92 tons of gold.
In the Vietnamese market, at the end of April 10, SJC gold was sold at 103.6 million VND/tael. Ring gold was sold at 102.8 million VND/tael.
