According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 am today, Vietnam time, was 3,328.94 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 0.24% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,381 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 105.8 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 16.2 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

World gold prices had a period of deep adjustment but then bounced back due to the decline of the USD.
World gold prices were also positively supported by news that the People's Bank of China (PBOC) had net bought gold for the 6th consecutive month in April this year, with a purchase volume of 70,000 ounces.
Forecasting gold price trends, according to analysts, US-China trade tensions have become one of the factors strongly affecting the world gold market.
Widely considered a safe haven in times of economic and geopolitical uncertainty, gold prices tend to spike when trade tensions rise.
With demand increasing sharply, many banks predict that gold could reach $4,000/ounce this year, of which Bank of America is the most optimistic.
“I’m still bullish,” said James Stanley, senior market strategist at Forex.com. “The $3,500 level is a formidable resistance level for spot gold, but the buying pressure has persisted, with prices hitting $3,200 last week and $3,300 this week – suggesting that buyers haven’t completely retreated.”
