The US Federal Reserve (FED) is expected to release the minutes of its June meeting this week, with predictions that the US may soon cut its basic interest rate. If the FED cuts interest rates, gold prices will benefit.
Gold prices fell as the US dollar remained low. The US dollar index (DXY) on the international market is trading around 97 points - the lowest level in more than 3 years.

In the domestic market, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by SJC, PNJ, and DOJI companies at 118.5 million VND/tael for buying and 120.5 million VND/tael for selling, down 400,000 VND compared to the weekend.
Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold also decreased by VND400,000 to VND113.9 million/tael for buying and VND116.4 million/tael for selling.
The price of gold rings is about 4 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold bars.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate at Vietcombank is about 105.4 million VND/tael, about 14 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold bars.
