
Last night's trading session, the world gold price increased by 1.3%, reaching 1,974.3 USD/ounce in the context of increasingly tense conflicts in the Middle East, causing investors to seek this commodity more to preserve capital. By nearly 9:00 a.m. this morning, the gold price was trading at 1,973.6 USD/ounce, converted to be nearly 12 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
Opening the domestic market on the morning of October 20, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed the price of SJC gold bars at VND70.15 million/tael (buy) - VND70.85 million/tael (sell), an increase of VND250,000/tael each way compared to the end of October 19.
Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company increased by VND250,000/tael (buying) and VND350,000/tael (selling), to VND70 million/tael (buying) - VND70.8 million/tael (selling).
Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank listed the price at 70.1 million VND/tael (buy) - 70.6 million VND/tael (sell), 200,000 VND/tael higher than the end of the previous day each way. The current price is the highest since October 14.
Meanwhile, the price of gold rings also increased with a stronger increase, in some places it was adjusted up by 450,000 VND/tael, to 57.8 million VND/tael (buy) - 58.8 million VND/tael (sell).
Thus, this is the third consecutive day that the domestic gold price has increased, totaling about 850,000 VND/tael. In recent days, the gold price has fluctuated and transactions in the market have improved.
