At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 83.3-85.8 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 300 thousand VND/tael for buying and decreased by 200 thousand VND/tael for selling.
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded at 82.3-85.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 82-85.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Compared to yesterday, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by 200 thousand VND/tael in the selling direction.

World gold price today 11/10/2024 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,683.74 USD/Ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 5.1 USD/Ounce compared to yesterday. Converted to USD exchange rate, on the free market (25,620 VND/USD), world gold is priced at about 83.81 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 1.99 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Gold prices fell on Friday under pressure from the US dollar, although expectations of further interest rate cuts helped to cushion the losses.
Gold was hit by a surge in the dollar this week after Mr. Trump won the 2024 presidential election. However, the dollar cooled from a four-month high on Thursday, after the Fed cut interest rates and signaled plans for further policy easing.
Spot gold prices are expected to fall nearly 2% this week, under pressure following Mr Trump’s victory.
The decline was partly due to a sharp rise in the US dollar and bond yields, as markets predicted Mr Trump would adopt policies that could push inflation higher in the long term.
However, Trump’s victory also helped to quickly conclude the US election, removing a major source of uncertainty for the market and fueling a surge in risk assets. Before the election, gold prices rose sharply, reaching nearly $2,800/ounce.
Gold prices got some support on Thursday when the Fed cut interest rates by 25 basis points as expected.
Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said the US economy remains stable, and the Fed will continue to ease monetary policy cautiously.
This provides some short-term support for gold and non-yielding assets. However, markets remain concerned about the long-term outlook for interest rates, especially with Trump as president.
Other precious metals also fell on Friday and posted losses for the week. Platinum futures fell 2.1% to $978.40 an ounce, while silver futures fell 1.4% to $31.420 an ounce.
Among industrial metals, copper prices fell on Friday but were set to make gains this week, as investors awaited signs of fiscal stimulus measures from China.
Benchmark copper prices on the London Metal Exchange fell 2.5% to $9,441.00 a tonne, while the December copper futures contract fell 2.7% to $4.3110 a pound.
China's parliament is expected to unveil a new fiscal spending plan at the end of its four-day session on Friday, with measures aimed mainly at boosting economic growth as China faces low inflation and a property crisis.
