Gold ring price drops sharply, SJC stands still

Saigon Jewelry Company listed the price of SJC gold bars at 116.8 - 119.3 million VND/tael for buying and selling, unchanged from yesterday morning. The difference between buying and selling is 2.5 million VND/tael.

Other gold trading businesses also kept the selling price of SJC gold bars unchanged at 119.3 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, the price of gold rings has been adjusted down sharply by businesses. Specifically, Saigon Jewelry Company listed the price of gold rings at 111 - 114 million VND/tael, down half a million VND/tael compared to yesterday morning. The difference between buying and selling is 3 million VND/tael.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited listed the price of gold rings at 113.8 - 116.8 million VND/tael, down half a million VND/tael. The difference between buying and selling is 3 million VND/tael.

Currently, the price of gold rings is 2.5 - nearly 5 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold bars, depending on the brand.

At the same time, the world gold price jumped to 3,291 USD/ounce, up 72 USD/ounce compared to yesterday morning.

In the currency market, this morning the State Bank listed the central exchange rate at 24,968 VND/USD, down 2 VND compared to yesterday morning.

Applying a 5% margin, the current USD exchange rate that commercial banks are allowed to trade is from 23,720 - 26,216 VND/USD.

The reference buying and selling exchange rate is also listed by the State Bank of Vietnam at 23,772 - 26,168 VND/USD.

Bank USD prices increased to 25,779 - 26,190 VND/USD.

On the free market, the USD is currently traded at 26,320 - 26,420 VND/USD, down 10 VND compared to yesterday morning.
