Gold prices fluctuate, while food prices remain relatively stable.

(Dong Nai) - From May 4th to 8th, the prices of gold bars and gold rings continued to fluctuate. At the beginning of the week, in Tran Bien ward (Dong Nai city), SJC gold bars were priced at 163 million VND/ounce for buying and 166 million VND/ounce for selling. By the end of the week, the price of gold increased again, with SJC gold bars priced at 164.5 million VND/ounce for buying and 167.5 million VND/ounce for selling. Many types of gold rings had prices similar to gold bars; at the end of the week, 9999 gold rings (Hung Thinh Vuong brand) increased to 16.45 million VND/ounce for buying and 16.75 million VND/ounce (equivalent to 167.5 million VND/ounce) for selling.

Prices for many types of gasoline and fuel oil have increased, while diesel prices have decreased compared to last week, following retail price adjustments by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance. Currently, the maximum retail price for E5 RON 92 gasoline is 23,790 VND/liter, RON 95 gasoline is 24,354 VND/liter, diesel is 27,494 VND/liter; and the retail price for fuel oil is no higher than 21,172 VND/kg.
