World oil price today 1/9
On the morning of September 1, world oil prices showed signs of a slight decrease after many volatile sessions. Brent fell 0.07 USD to 67.41 USD/barrel, while WTI fell 0.06 USD to 63.95 USD/barrel.
The main reason comes from concerns about a sharp increase in supply as OPEC+ prepares to meet and is expected to increase production. In addition, weakening energy demand as the peak driving season in the US ends also contributes to the pressure.
Some experts warn that the global supply-demand situation is complicated. If OPEC supply increases, combined with a decline in demand, oil prices will find it difficult to maintain high levels. However, there are still opinions that the US market has not been clearly affected, and that supply here is still tight, enough to keep prices stable.
Domestic gasoline prices today September 1
Domestically, gasoline prices remain unchanged according to the August 28 adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance. Specifically, E5 RON92 gasoline is at VND19,771/liter, RON95-III gasoline is at VND20,363/liter. Diesel is VND18,357/liter, kerosene is VND18,225/liter, and fuel oil is VND15,260/kg.
In this operating period, the Price Stabilization Fund was not allocated or used. The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that world prices are affected by many factors such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict, US-India tariffs and fluctuations in US crude oil inventories, leading to unpredictable short-term changes.
