World oil prices today
In today's trading session, April 20 (Vietnam time), world oil prices rebounded. WTI crude oil reached 83.25 USD/barrel, up 0.52 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.63%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 82.73 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 82.64 USD/barrel.
Brent crude oil increased to 87.73 USD/barrel, or 0.27 USD/barrel, or 0.31% increase. Brent crude oil closed yesterday's trading session at 87.11 USD/barrel and opened this morning's session at 86.96 USD/barrel.
Both Brent and WTI crude futures jumped in yesterday's trading session and continued to rise into the weekend after the conflict between Iran and Israel continued to escalate. However, gains were limited after Iran's Tehran downplayed the incident and said it had no plans to retaliate.
The easing of Iran’s conflict with Israel will reduce the possibility of supply disruptions in the Middle East, Reuters reported. However, weaker economic growth in China and rising US crude inventories also curbed oil prices.
