World oil prices
On the morning of August 8, 2025 (Vietnam time), Brent oil prices fell 0.24% to 66.74 USD/barrel, WTI fell 0.34% to 64.18 USD/barrel, marking the 6th consecutive session of decline. Expectations of a diplomatic solution from the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, along with OPEC+'s plan to increase production (547,000 barrels/day from September) put downward pressure on prices. US crude oil inventories fell by 3 million barrels and strong oil demand from China curbed the decline.
