During the operating period on June 12, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided not to set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for all petroleum products.
Accordingly, E5 RON 92 and RON 95 III gasoline increased by VND199 and VND269 per liter, respectively, compared to the current base price, to VND19,462 per liter and VND19,967 per liter.
Diesel, kerosene and fuel oil also increased by VND280, VND227 and VND283 to new prices of VND17,700/liter, VND17,511/liter and VND16,461/kg.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the world oil market from June 5 to 11 was mainly affected by factors such as: escalating tensions between the US and Iran (a member of OPEC) in nuclear negotiations; US crude oil inventories decreased; updated information on US tax policies on goods of trading partners; ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine... These factors have mainly caused world oil prices to tend to increase in recent days.
Since the beginning of the year, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 24 adjustments, including 9 decreases, 10 increases and 5 sessions of mixed fuel prices.
