Vietnam Police Team I had a rough start when they lost 2-4 in the opening match of Group A.

While the Thai team had an easy 2-0 victory over the Lao team thanks to Pasakorn Nonthakamchanra (penalty kick, 6th minute) and Sutin Iamsa-Ard (67th minute) to temporarily rise to the top of Group A, in Hung Yen , the Timor-Leste team surprisingly defeated the representative of the kangaroo country with a very large score of 7-1.

Among them, player number 9 Silveiro Garcia shined with 4 goals in the 24th, 62nd, 70th, 85th minutes. The remaining goals of the Timor Leste team were scored by Juvencio and Zeferino. Meanwhile, the CAND Vietnam II team (blue shirt) had a big 3-0 victory on the opening day.

In the second match, which took place on the evening of July 7, the Vietnam Police Team I competed with the Cambodian team at Hang Day Stadium. The Vietnam Police Team I used a squad consisting of many young players from the U21 group of the Hanoi Police Football Club. Despite playing with great effort and great desire to show off, the home team still faced many difficulties against an opponent with more experience and fighting spirit, as most of the Cambodian team was playing in the country's national championship.

Right from the first minutes, the Cambodian team quickly imposed their style of play and took advantage of the home team's defensive mistakes. In the first 20 minutes, the CAND Vietnam I team continuously conceded two goals. It was not until the end of the first half that the home team had a chance to reduce the score. From a free kick on the right wing, Hai Binh rushed in and finished accurately, helping CAND Vietnam I rekindle hope before the break.

In the second half, CAND Vietnam I decided to strengthen their attack by sending two players who are playing in the V.League, Trung Anh and Ngoc Thang. However, the appearance of these two faces did not create much difference. The Cuong managed to score another goal for the home team, but Cambodia still showed their sharpness with two more goals, thereby closing the match with a score of 4-2.

In the match at the same time at PVF Stadium, the CAND Vietnam II team easily won 3-0 against Singapore thanks to a double from Duc Nam and the remaining goal from Tran Van Hoa.

On July 9, the opening ceremony of the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament will take place at Hang Day Stadium, followed by a match between Vietnam Police Team 1 and Thailand. At the same time, Vietnam Police Team II will compete with Australia.
