National U13 Football Tournament 2025: Opportunity to 'study abroad' in Japan for young talents

TPO - The 2025 Yamaha Cup National Youth Football Tournament (U13) offers a special opportunity for outstanding players and coaches to train, learn and hone their skills at Japan's prestigious Jubilo Iwata Club.

The national youth football tournament (U13) is part of the national competition system organized by the Tien Phong and Nhi Dong Newspapers in coordination with the Vietnam Football Federation for the past 28 years.

This historic tournament has become a launching pad for many national team stars to shine, such as Do Hung Dung, Do Duy Manh, Nham Manh Dung, Nguyen Hoang Duc and Duc Chien.

This year's tournament is scheduled to take place from June 2 to July 15, bringing together 45 teams from 36 provinces and cities across the country. The qualifying round will be held from June 2 to 22 in 3 regions: Hai Phong, Dak Lak and Ba Ria - Vung Tau .

Meanwhile, the final round took place in Binh Duong province from July 1-15 with the participation of 16 best youth football teams (U13) of the qualifying round.

Since 2023, the tournament organizers have implemented many intensive training programs for both players and coaches with the participation of experts from Japan.

This year, the tournament has a new feature: awarding "scholarships" in Japan to outstanding players and outstanding coaches in the final round. These two individuals will have the opportunity to experience, practice and hone their skills at Jubilo Iwata Club - one of the teams with the best tradition of developing young players in the land of cherry blossoms.

Throughout the 28-year history of the tournament, Song Lam Nghe An Club is the most successful team with 11 championships, affirming its position as the leading youth training center in the country. Following are The Cong – Viettel and PVF, each team has won the championship 3 times.
