At 7:17 p.m. on May 17, the police received a report that someone was lost in the deep mountains of Ham Lon peak, Nam Son commune, Soc Son district.

The City Police Command Information Center has dispatched the Soc Son fire prevention and rescue team to the scene to search and rescue.

Upon arriving at the scene, authorities deployed teams to search for the victims.

At this time it was raining, the terrain was slippery and steep. The working group, with the coordination and support of the people, approached and encouraged and reassured the group of lost people.

The group of 5 people who got lost were later brought down the mountain safely by police using specialized equipment.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night and early this morning, May 18, in the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, there were showers and thunderstorms.

In the mountainous region of the Northeast, there is moderate rain, heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain, with many places recording heavy rain of over 150mm.

Many experienced mountain climbers say that the rainy season in the North is not an ideal time to participate in this sport. The constant risks are flash floods and landslides.

Even in many high mountain and dense forest areas, the probability of encountering animals such as snakes, leeches, insects, etc. will be higher than in winter.
