The sacred journey of a mother

Dr. Thuy Duong shared that after more than 35 years of working, she feels very happy that more and more mothers are aware of the importance of breast milk. However, in reality, for many different reasons, many women cannot breastfeed their children. This makes them feel guilty and forced to accept that their children cannot breastfeed.

In this era of information explosion, many mothers find it difficult to distinguish right from wrong among the myriad of knowledge streams on the Internet. In addition, old habits and word of mouth still influence them, making them even more concerned about their suitability for modern life.

"I feel sorry for mothers because they should be happy, peaceful and have a lot of joy in their breastfeeding journey. For mothers, the postpartum period and the first years of their child's life are very important, so I want to do something to help mothers. I wrote a book that distills the problems they often encounter to have a reliable reference source and have answers for myself," the female author shared.

According to Dr. Thuy Duong, the three important keywords emphasized in the book are: Science - efficiency - leisure.

She said that as a lecturer and researcher, all the content in the book is based on scientific foundation. From the structure of breast milk to the factors affecting the milk secretion process, everything is clearly explained, helping mothers to easily understand and apply effectively in practice.

Breastfeeding is not only about providing nutrition, but also creating a deep bond between mother and child. The mother plays an active role in cultivating this bond from affectionate eyes, affectionate gestures to every close moment with her child. It is these little things that help the mother understand herself better, feel inner security and be more steadfast when facing challenges.

Breastfeed with confidence

Master - Doctor Nguyen To Na, Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology, Phuong Nam Hospital, shares her personal experiences about childbirth and the loneliness of postpartum mothers.

"In my opinion, to overcome that, a mother needs love and confidence. Difficulties and pain can be soothed by a mother's love for her child; by the love and care of her family for her... The information in this book will help mothers gain that confidence," said Dr. To Na.

Screenwriter Phung Vu Uyen shares her journey of raising three children exclusively on breast milk, each nine years apart. She said that 20 years ago, when she gave birth to her first child, access to information was limited, making her breastfeeding journey quite difficult. With subsequent births, despite having more experience, she still couldn't help but feel confused by the myriad of knowledge and different streams of information.
