Disbursement of 500 million VND to implement cashew tree care project

On June 11, the Provincial Farmers Support Fund Executive Board coordinated with the Farmers' Association of Xuyen Moc district and Bau Lam commune to disburse 500 million VND to 10 farming households in the commune to implement a cashew tree care project.

Each household is given a loan of 50 million VND to buy fertilizer and invest in irrigation systems to care for cashew trees. The project will be implemented over 24 months, with an interest rate of 0.7% per month.

The cashew growing area in Xuyen Moc district is nearly 4,000 hectares, with an estimated total output of 5,400 tons of cashew nuts per year; the growing areas are mainly concentrated in the communes of Bau Lam, Tan Lam, Hoa Hiep, Hoa Binh ...
