The 2025 “Ly Son – Following the Footprints of the Frontline” Cross Country Race attracted nearly 2,000 athletes from provinces and cities across the country, competing in 3 distances: 5km, 10km, 21km on the sunny and windy frontline island district route. The athletes immersed themselves in the sea and islands of the Fatherland, with the row of national flags fluttering in the middle of the ocean.
Athlete Ta Duy Tuyen from Dak Nong shared: “Today’s weather is favorable for the runners, I feel the natural landscape is very beautiful, very wonderful. In addition, the Organizing Committee also planted many national flags around the island running route, making the running atmosphere very heroic.”
The route runs along the blue coastline, typical garlic and onion fields and through famous landscapes, historical relics of Ly Son such as: To Vo Gate, An Vinh and An Hai Communal Houses, Truong Sa Fleet House, marking the pioneering footsteps of the Hoang Sa Fleet homeland in the past.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize for the 5km distance to athlete Le Trong Phu; the first prize for the 5km distance to athlete Bui Yen Ly; the first prize for the 10km distance to athlete Dinh Quoc Vinh; the first prize for the 10km distance to athlete Pham Thi Binh; the first prize for the 21km distance to athlete Ta Duy Tuyen, Da Nang ; and the first prize for the 21km distance to athlete Nguyen Thi Thu Ha of Quang Ngai province.
