Meeting on Mass Mobilization work in the first quarter of 2024

Civil Affairs — Comrade Do Viet Anh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, spoke at the conference.

Discussing at the conference, delegates highly agreed with the draft Report on the results of the first quarter's mass mobilization work and tasks for the second quarter of 2024, which affirmed: In the first 3 months of the year, the situation of the people, religion, and workers in the province was stable. The mass mobilization work of the political system has many positive changes with a strong focus on the grassroots, with many innovations and achieved relatively comprehensive results.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee and Party committees at all levels have issued documents to lead and direct the effective implementation of mass mobilization tasks in the province. They have focused on directing all levels and sectors to implement the 2024 Working Theme of the Provincial Party Executive Committee; leading and directing the synchronous implementation of production, business, socio-economic development activities, performing well the social security work, taking care of people's lives, ensuring that everyone and every family has a Tet holiday; launching emulation movements and organizing many meaningful and practical activities to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam ; launching the "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" Tree Planting Festival in the Spring of Giap Thin and responding to the Program of planting 1 billion trees, period 2021 - 2025; organizing the 2024 military handover and reception ceremony solemnly, safely, meeting the targets and quality.

The government's mass mobilization work has been carried out with attention. It has focused on strengthening state management, promoting economic development, ensuring social security, building new rural areas; strengthening state management of festivals at the beginning of the year, enhancing administrative reform, resolving complaints and denunciations, and speeding up site clearance for key projects.

The Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations continue to effectively carry out mass mobilization work, contributing to socio-economic development, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the locality.

Speaking to clarify the results achieved and difficulties in implementing mass mobilization work in the first quarter, the delegates also provided more information about the situation of the people and workers, and proposed solutions to effectively implement the key mass mobilization work in the coming time.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of all levels and sectors in mass mobilization work in recent times.

Regarding the key tasks of mass mobilization work in the second quarter, he requested that all levels and sectors focus on directing the work of grasping the situation of the people, workers, and religious situations, directing activities to the grassroots level; proactively coordinating and advising on solving sudden problems arising at the grassroots level, not being passive or surprised.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council noted: Mass mobilization work must contribute to creating social consensus and serving the political tasks of the province. In particular, it is necessary to focus on propaganda to create consensus among cadres, civil servants and people in the arrangement of administrative units.

The Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee presides over advising the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to issue leadership and direction documents on mass mobilization work; advises on the implementation of Plan No. 24-KH/BCĐ, dated March 12, 2024 of the Provincial Steering Committee for the emulation movement "Skilled Mass Mobilization" on editing and publishing the book "100 typical models and examples of "Skilled Mass Mobilization" in Ninh Binh province, period 2021-2025".

Focus on leading and directing the successful organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, the Vietnam Youth Union Congress at the grassroots and district levels, term 2024 - 2029. Direct the effective implementation of the 2024 Program of supervision, social criticism and dialogue of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. Organize activities to celebrate, express gratitude and commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. Focus on directing the implementation of Workers' Month and Action Month for Children.

Continue to effectively implement Circular No. 05-TT/TU dated December 2, 2021 on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over mass mobilization work of state agencies at all levels in Ninh Binh province"; improve the effectiveness of mass mobilization work of the government and armed forces.

In particular, mass mobilization work must contribute to the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, poverty reduction, new rural construction, and civilized urban areas. Promote administrative procedure reform, digital transformation in e-government construction. Implement the Grassroots Democracy Regulations and the Law on Grassroots Democracy Implementation; ensure political security, social order and safety, pay attention to the work of receiving people, handling complaints and denunciations of citizens; enhance the responsibility and awareness of serving the people of cadres, civil servants, and public employees.

Focus on promoting Decision No. 218/QD-TTg, dated March 4, 2024 of the Prime Minister on approving the Planning of Ninh Binh province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Promoting the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage...

* Before that, the delegates visited the "Skillful mass mobilization" model of women doing good business by Ms. Nguyen Thi Lanh, Director of Bao Son Food Company Limited (Hung Tien commune, Kim Son district).

Bao Son Food Company Limited was established in 2020 with the main production and business line being the consumption of medicinal plant products. Currently, the Company has 12 main products, of which 5 products meet OCOP standards. Annually, it exports about 100,000 products to the market. The Company's products are currently sold in 42 provinces and cities in the country, with a total revenue of about 5 billion VND/year. The Company has created jobs for over 40 seasonal workers and 13 regular workers, with a salary of 7-10 million/person/month. During the process of construction and development, the Company has received support from authorities at all levels and the Women's Union at all levels in the province in terms of capital, propaganda, promotion, product introduction, etc. This is one of the typical models of "Skilled Mass Mobilization" of the Women's Union. The success of the model has spread, aroused and promoted the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, and affirming the role of women in economic development.
