In the common culture of the Ha Nhi ethnic community, they have created many dances to serve folk beliefs, spiritual beliefs, and collective nature. Their performing arts are also very diverse with dances such as: Drum dance, upland dance, weaving dance, conical hat dance, pounding friend dance, xoe dance... Each folk song and traditional dance of the Ha Nhi people has its own uniqueness and identity. In particular, the dances have simple movements, without strong turns and jumps like other ethnic groups, but have a high collective and communal character.

In Muong Nhe district, over time, although there was a time when it seemed that the folk songs and dances of the Ha Nhi community were gradually fading away, up to now, thanks to the efforts of the Party Committee and authorities at all levels, especially the determination of the elderly here, the folk songs and dances have developed strongly in the community.
Mr. Po Chinh Pha, Chairman of the People's Committee of Sin Thau Commune, shared: In Muong Nhe, the Ha Nhi ethnic group is distributed in 4 border communes, including: Chung Chai, Leng Su Sin, Sin Thau and Sen Thuong. Over the years, although material life still has difficulties, traditional songs and dances are like a bond connecting the community, helping the Ha Nhi ethnic group to constantly strive to rise up. Not only that, through practicing and performing folk songs and dances, it is also affirmed that this is an effective collective activity model, contributing significantly to preserving, conserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the Ha Nhi ethnic group in the integration process of the country.

From the beauty that folk songs and dances bring, in recent years, all levels and sectors have also paid more attention, by regularly organizing competitions, folk song, dance, and music performances or integrating them into cultural, sports , and tourism events, such as: Ethnic Culture Festival, Ban Flower Festival... At the 7th Ban Flower Festival and Ethnic Culture, Sports, and Tourism Festival of Dien Bien Province held in March 2023, the folk song, dance, and music festival brought a realistic and vivid space, fully expressing the life, customs, and cultural identities of the 19 ethnic communities of the province. All of these combine to create a colorful space, deeply expressing the culture, land, and people of Dien Bien , the Northwest, creating a special attraction for viewers and tourists from all over.

Paying attention to folk performing arts, recently, functional sectors have been taking many practical actions to preserve and promote folk songs and dances. At the end of 2020, the Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien to organize a training course on preserving and developing folk songs and dances of the Si La ethnic group in association with tourism development in Chung Chai commune, Muong Nhe district. Through this, it aims to preserve, transmit and promote the unique values of folk songs, folk dances, and traditional folk music of ethnic minorities in the province; raise awareness and responsibility of students and teachers in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.
