Introduce and promote tourism image of Dong Hoa town

The Provincial Journalists Association has just coordinated with the People's Committee of Dong Hoa Town to organize a working session at Ong Nam Hai Mausoleum (Phu Lac Mausoleum) and the Central Medicinal Materials Research and Production Center (Hoa Hiep Nam Commune, Dong Hoa Town). Attending were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, representatives of press agencies in the province, and resident journalists.

At the meeting, journalist Pham Doan Anh Kiet, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Journalists Association, said: Phu Yen has many destinations, many famous historical sites and scenic spots. Among them, there are many famous historical sites and scenic spots... in Dong Hoa town. Organizing work and field trips in the locality helps journalists, representatives of press agencies in the province, and journalists residing in the area to grasp more information, learn about historical sites, scenic spots, production facilities... to have documents to serve the work of promoting the tourism image of Dong Hoa town in particular and Phu Yen province in general.

Reporting on the Phu Lac Tomb Historical and Cultural Relic, Mr. Le Duc Lap, Secretary, Head of Phu Lac Ward, Head of Phu Lac Tomb Historical and Cultural Relic Management Board said: Phu Lac Tomb was built before 1852, rebuilt in 2000 and renovated and rebuilt in 2020. Phu Lac Tomb is associated with the worship of Mr. Nam Hai (whale) and "Mrs. Thuy Long Than Nu". Mr. whale (whale) is a sacred fish, and was conferred the title "Nam Hai Cu Toc Ngoc Lan Ton Than" by the Nguyen Dynasty kings. Phu Lac Tomb was bestowed 10 royal decrees by the Tu Duc, Dong Khanh, Duy Tan, and Khai Dinh kings and has been preserved intact to this day. Phu Lac Tomb is also associated with historical events during the two resistance wars. Phu Lac Tomb was recognized as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic by the Provincial People's Committee under Decision 523/QD-UBND, dated April 2, 2013. Presently, Phu Lac Tomb still preserves 10 royal decrees bestowed by the Nguyen Dynasty kings; it is the place where the traditional annual fishing festival and many other local festivals are held.

The representative of the leadership of Hong Dai Viet Production - Trading Company Limited (Central Medicinal Materials Research and Production Center) also introduced to journalists the process of formation and development and development orientation to attract tours to the center in the near future.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Vice Chairman of Dong Hoa Town People's Committee informed: Dong Hoa has advantages and potentials for tourism development. The locality's wish is for journalists to approach reality, help the locality introduce and promote beautiful images, locations, and scenic spots of the locality to the people and tourists, thereby helping the locality develop tourism. In the coming time, Dong Hoa Town will continue to invest in increasingly complete infrastructure to attract investment and develop sustainable tourism.
