The military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (A80) took place on the morning of September 2 at Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi ) and brought special emotions to people across the country.
In tune with the spirited parades and marches is the emotional, heartfelt voice of the A80 parade commentary team.
The commentary team included 13 people from the three regions of North - Central - South. They all went through selection rounds at their units, military regions and the Propaganda Department (under the General Department of Politics ), and finally appeared in the "powerful" cabin to tell the story of the A80 ceremony, which only happens once every 80 years.

Tears mixed with national pride at the September 2 parade
This is not the first time that Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Lap - currently working at Army Officer School 1 - has participated in giving a commentary at an important event.
Before A80, he read the opening speech of the parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (A70), and the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (A50).
Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online, Lieutenant Colonel Huu Lap said each event has a different meaning and scale, but A80 is probably the biggest event, one is probably only lucky enough to participate in once in a lifetime.
"This is a source of pride not only for me but also for the entire commentary team. After completing the task, we almost burst into tears. We looked at each other happily, even tears welled up when we saw our fellow countrymen and people happy on a great national holiday," he shared.
Because that is a journey where many generations have fallen for independence and freedom, and today the country turns a new page with an era of growth, prosperity, and development.
"Sitting in the cabin, we felt the great solidarity and patriotism of the Vietnamese people. We felt we had to try harder to fulfill our duties and contribute our small part to building our homeland," he said.
Participating in A70, A50, A80, Huu Lap said he was lucky to "see" a circle of peaceful Vietnam from Dien Bien Phu, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. That was the most beautiful, proudest and happiest scene in his military career.

"In the reading voice there is the affection of a Southerner sent to the North"
That is the confession of Senior Lieutenant Le Ngoc Han - working at the Propaganda Department, Political Department, Ho Chi Minh City Command. Before A80, she used to read explanations at A70.
As a female voice from the South in the narration team, Le Ngoc Han said that her voice carried the feelings of her Southern bloodline to the North.

Han shared that during his lifetime, Uncle Ho had deep affection for the people of the South. He said, "The beloved South is always in my heart."
In a letter to the soldiers and families of cadres from the South who had gathered in the North (September 1954), Uncle Ho wrote: "When peace is consolidated, unification is achieved, independence and democracy are achieved, our people will happily return to their homeland. At that time, I will most likely visit our beloved South with my people."
"I am very honored to be fortunate enough to represent the voice of our beloved Southern compatriots; through my reading voice, I want to convey the generosity, warmth and closeness in the love that Southerners send to the North," said Le Ngoc Han.
When moving to the stands, the commentary team as well as the soldiers were welcomed by the people, asked about and wished them good health. Hanoi, the heart of the whole country, people from all over flocked to express their patriotism.
The story not told in the parade cabin
Senior Lieutenant Le Ngoc Han was born and raised in a family with a rich revolutionary tradition. His maternal grandfather was a martyr, his maternal grandmother sewed flags and slogans to send to the war zone, and his paternal grandmother had the merit of hiding cadres.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Lap's uncle was a martyr who died in the Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954. In his family, many people died in the resistance war against America.
Standing in the cabin reading the commentary, he felt a deep connection with the previous generation. Peace is not a difficult thing to explain, it is built from the blood and bones of our ancestors, including our relatives.
Listen to the voice of Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Lap
When he heard that Huu Lap was chosen to do the narration at A80, his mother told him a few words: "This is a heavy task. Rest assured that you will excellently complete the task assigned by the Party, the State and the army. At home, everyone is well."
Le Ngoc Han's participation in A80 was also her grandmother's wish before she passed away. That's why she tried to overcome the pressure and anxiety to complete her mission.
Having been in Hanoi for a whole month, the thing that worried her the most were her three young children. But it was her children who gave her the motivation in return: "Mom, try your best to complete your studies so you can come back to me. Soldiers have to be good, right Mom?"
Now Le Ngoc Han can breathe a sigh of relief after the event ended perfectly with many emotions that she can "remember until old age". Very soon, Han will be able to return home, light a stick of incense to report her grandmother's achievements, hug her three children and have a good night's sleep.
Nguyen Huu Lap will also, like the previous two times, after completing his mission at A70 and A50, return to Truong Bon, Uncle Ho's hometown, visit Ly Tu Trong temple near his house, then stand in front of the ancestral altar, burn incense for his ancestors, and report on the completion of his mission.
