Reviewing the development of education and training after 10 years of implementing the Central Resolution No. 29/2013/NQ-TW on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the conditions of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Mau Banh pointed out the important results that Education and Training nationwide has achieved in the past 10 years.
In addition to the achievements, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Mau Banh also stated: The conclusion of the Politburo also pointed out some limitations and shortcomings in the institutionalization of policies and laws serving innovation, education and training that have been slow to be promulgated. The implementation of autonomy in educational and training institutions, the implementation of the new general education textbook program still faces many difficulties, the connection between educational levels, training levels, and the classification of students after junior high school are still inadequate...
Regarding the above shortcomings, in addition to the role of the State management agency, at the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029, with the presence of many delegates, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Mau Banh wanted to mention the role of political, socio-political and socio-professional organizations in supporting theeducation sector in propaganda work on education and training innovation, socialization of education or the participation of society in education work in schools, in society and in families.
According to Professor, Doctor of Science Nguyen Mau Banh, education and training must be integrated together: "Education without education is a waste, education without careful teaching is dangerous."
Nowadays, the educational category is expanded, positioned in 4 factors: Knowledge, attitude, skills, behavior. The educational category is positioned in 3 aspects: Mental strength, intelligence, physical strength.
In which, the teacher is the decisive factor in the success of education. The three missions of a teacher are: preaching, solving problems, and learning.
Nowadays, we must also educate students to fear: fear heaven and earth - if they do wrong, heaven and earth will know; fear the law - the strict punishment of the law when they do wrong; fear teachers, fear parents; fear the condemnation of society.
The cause of the current state of cultural and moral degradation has been raised by many people, but has not been thoroughly explained. Some people believe that the cause of the current state of cultural and moral degradation is the reversal of the value system.
But what causes the value system to be turned upside down? According to Professor, Doctor of Science Nguyen Mau Banh, it is the "fearless" mentality. Education is a highly specialized activity, but also has a broad social dimension, including school education, family education and social education.
That requires early, remote, timely and complete communication work of the education sector. However, this has not been fully implemented. Therefore, in the conclusion of the Politburo "On continuing to implement Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW of the 11th Party Central Committee, it is clearly stated that the top task is for Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, and heads of localities and units to continue to raise awareness, strengthen leadership responsibilities, thoroughly grasp and fully and deeply implement the viewpoint that education and training is the top national policy, the cause of the Party, the State and the entire people, ensuring the leading role of the State, while attracting the active participation of society.
The Politburo's conclusion also sets out the task for the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to develop a plan to propagate, mobilize, and supervise the implementation of the conclusion.
At the Congress, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Mau Banh hoped that the Front and its members would pay more attention to education at both the macro and micro levels, at the local level and at educational institutions, so that, as Prime Minister Pham Van Dong taught: "School is school, teachers are teachers, students are students, teaching is teaching, learning is learning", to have a systematic and modern education system, training high-quality human resources.
In particular, the role of society is very important in propagating and thoroughly understanding the goals, requirements, content and methods of education. Approaching education from the perspective of both subject and object to have more responsibility for education.
