Removing obstacles in forestry planning for projects in Van Phong Economic Zone

On the afternoon of July 31, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with leaders of departments, branches and sectors to listen to reports on solutions to problems in forestry planning for projects in Van Phong Economic Zone.

According to reports from units, currently, in Van Phong Economic Zone, there are 4 investment projects facing difficulties and problems related to forestry planning; some land areas have been assigned to implement projects within the planning of 3 types of forests. The Department of Agriculture and Environment is coordinating with the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of the province to review the areas within the planning of 3 types of forests (with natural forest areas) to adjust the project boundaries that have been granted investment policy certificates.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang requested the Department of Finance to review investment projects in Van Phong Economic Zone to update the province's planning; the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review and advise the province to implement land use planning, national forestry planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 in the province to remove obstacles as a basis for implementing projects in the coming time.
