The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province held a conference to deploy key tasks for the last months of 2025.

On August 1, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province held a conference to deploy tasks for the last months of 2025. The conference aimed to evaluate the results of task implementation after one month of merger and at the same time propose key directions and solutions for the remaining period of the year.

The 6 units under the Department have initially completed the transfer, unified the implementation of activities at the two facilities, ensuring no interruption of tasks.

In his speech, Mr. Nong Viet Yen, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive spirit and high responsibility of the entire sector in performing its tasks in the past time, and emphasized a number of key tasks in the last 5 months of the year.

In particular, he requested the entire industry to continue to strengthen state management; proactively review and advise on perfecting mechanisms and policies in accordance with the actual situation after the merger; focus on developing cultural, sports and tourism activities associated with the goals of local socio-economic development.

Along with that, the industry will promote the application of digital technology in organizing events, promoting heritage, stimulating tourism and developing specific tourism products. In particular, the industry needs to focus on preparing and effectively organizing major events such as: activities to celebrate the First Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030; celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day; 80 years of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; Red River Festival; exhibitions of national development achievements, and many large-scale cultural and artistic programs.

At the same time, the industry continues to improve its organizational structure towards streamlining and efficiency; focusing on training and fostering to improve the capacity of cadres, civil servants and public employees. At the same time, it strengthens discipline and administrative discipline; improves the effectiveness of inspection and supervision work, promptly removing obstacles in the process of implementing tasks at the grassroots level.
