The 2023 high school graduation exam took place over two days, June 28-29, with more than one million candidates. Of these, over 917,700 students will use their exam results for both graduation and university admission.
To prepare well for the exams, candidates should pay attention to the following regulations during the examination process:
Before taking the exam, candidates must fill in their full registration number and candidate information on the exam paper, answer sheet, and scratch paper.
Upon receiving the exam paper, candidates should carefully check the number of pages and the quality of the printed pages. If they discover that the paper is missing pages, or is torn, damaged, smudged, or blurry, they must immediately report it to the invigilator, no later than 5 minutes from the time the paper is distributed, so that it can be reviewed and replaced, avoiding any disadvantage.
During the exam, candidates are not allowed to exchange information, copy from others, use unauthorized materials, or engage in any fraudulent behavior that disrupts the order of the examination room. If a candidate wishes to express an opinion, they must raise their hand and only present it publicly after receiving permission.
For the combined Natural Sciences and Social Sciences exam, the component subjects share the same exam code. Candidates should check immediately upon receiving the exam paper; if the component subjects do not have the same exam code, they should immediately report it to the invigilator. Candidates will answer the component subjects on the same multiple-choice answer sheet. The invigilator will only collect the answer sheets after the time allotted for the last component subject has elapsed.
Immediately after the time allotted for the first component of the exam has ended, candidates must stop working on the exam. The invigilator will collect the exam papers and scratch paper from the candidates. Then, the invigilator will distribute the exam papers for the next component and new scratch paper according to the exam schedule. The process for subsequent components is similar.
Students are only allowed to leave the examination room after the invigilator has checked all the ballots in the room and given permission to leave. In case of any unusual circumstances, candidates must strictly follow the instructions of the invigilator and other responsible personnel at the examination site.
