Enthusiasm, responsibility, and a collective effort to protect the environment – ​​that is the pioneering spirit of the youth of Dong Hoa commune, contributing to building a green, clean, and beautiful homeland.

In recent years, the environmental protection movement in Dong Hoa commune has spread increasingly, leaving many positive imprints on community life. Recently, Dong Hoa commune officially launched a social volunteer team for community life, creating new momentum for the environmental protection movement and building an increasingly green and clean rural area.

From early morning on the launch day, the atmosphere at the center of Dong Hoa commune became vibrant with the participation of numerous youth union members and young people. Dressed in their green volunteer uniforms, the young people eagerly demonstrated their determination to work together for a clean and sustainable living environment. The social volunteer team for community life was established with 45 members, primarily outstanding youth union members and young people with a high sense of responsibility, ready to participate in activities for the common good.

Following the launch ceremony, the volunteer team quickly mobilized to clean up rural roads, collect household waste, clear bushes, clean canals, plant trees, and educate people about reducing the use of plastic bags and sorting waste at source. These concrete, practical actions not only contribute to improving the environmental landscape but also raise people's awareness of preserving their living space.

Directly participating in the activity, Huynh Thi Thuy Trang shared: “I am very happy to contribute alongside young people in the environmental protection movement. These actions, though small, have great significance. Through each campaign, I see that people are becoming more aware of disposing of waste properly and working together to maintain a clean and beautiful environment. Participating in the environmental protection movement helps me improve my sense of responsibility and community awareness. Seeing people gradually change their habits and stop littering makes me feel that what I do is truly meaningful.”

The community service volunteer team also intensified its awareness campaigns through youth union activities, social media, and thematic talks. The content focused on the harmful effects of plastic waste, the benefits of planting trees, protecting water resources, and the role of each individual in responding to climate change. As a result, the environmental protection movement gradually deepened, creating positive changes from awareness to action among union members, young people, and the general public.

According to Le Van Nhinh, Secretary of the Dong Hoa Commune Youth Union: “The launch of the social volunteer team for community life is an important step to concretize the pioneering spirit of young people in the new era. Recognizing environmental protection as a long-term task, the Commune Youth Union must build a core force that operates regularly and has a clear plan. Through the volunteer team, we hope to spread the message of green living and responsible living to every union member and household.”

Besides the youth union members, the environmental protection movement in Dong Hoa commune also receives the innocent and meaningful participation of children. During a cleanup campaign of the school grounds and the road in front of the school gate, Tran Minh Khang, a second-grade student at Dong Hoa 1 Primary School, politely said while picking up trash: "I see that a lot of trash makes the road look bad and smelly. The road becomes ugly. I'm picking up trash with my older siblings so that the road will be cleaner, more beautiful, and we'll have more fun going to school."
