Ha Long: Completed collecting voters' opinions on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units

According to news from Ha Long City, up to now, the city has completed collecting voters' opinions on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Ha Long City.

Tran Hung Dao Ward held a meeting to collect voters' opinions and submit to the Ward People's Council the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.

Strictly implementing the direction of the Central and the province, on April 10, the People's Committee of Ha Long City issued Plan No. 142/KH-UBND on organizing the collection of voters' opinions and submitting to People's Councils at all levels on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the city.

Accordingly, the People's Committees of communes and wards have compiled and posted voter lists; promoted information and propaganda work; publicized plans for the arrangement of local administrative units, briefly assessed the standards of commune-level administrative units before and after the arrangement, and the conditions for the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.

As of 4:00 p.m. on April 14, the entire city had deployed the collection of voters' opinions to 243 villages and neighborhoods; posted the list of 86,675 voters; and established 219 groups to collect opinions.

Ward 6A, Ha Phong Ward, conducted a survey at households' homes to collect opinions on the establishment of commune-level administrative units in Ha Long City.

Voter consultation was organized simultaneously in all communes and wards on April 17, ensuring publicity, democracy and compliance with the law. As a result, the city completed the consultation of 4,562 voters representing households on the establishment of new administrative units, reaching 99.75% (14 communes and wards reached 100%); the consultation on naming commune-level administrative units reached 99.4% (13 communes and wards reached 100%). The results of the consultation of voters will be an important basis for the province to complete the plan before submitting it to competent authorities for consideration and decision in the coming time.

Starting this afternoon and tomorrow morning (April 18), 32 communes and wards in Ha Long City will simultaneously hold People's Council meetings at all levels.

According to Conclusion No. 1207-KL/TU of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units in Quang Ninh province is 51 units, including: 27 wards, 21 communes and 03 special zones (Van Don, Co To, Mong Cai). In case the Central Government approves 02 special zones (Van Don, Co To), the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the whole province will be 54 units, including: 30 wards, 22 communes and 02 special zones.

In particular, Ha Long City is expected to arrange 30 units into 11 units, transfer 2 communes Dong Son and Ky Thuong to join with Ba Che unit cluster.

Specifically as follows: Ward 1 includes 2 wards: Dai Yen, Tuan Chau, Don Dien area (Ha Khau ward). Ward 2 includes 3 wards: Viet Hung, Ha Khau (except Don Dien area), Gieng Day. Ward 3 includes 2 wards: Bai Chay, Hung Thang. Ward 4 includes 2 wards: Ha Phong, Ha Tu. Ward 5 includes 3 wards: Cao Thang, Ha Lam, Ha Trung. Ward 6 includes 2 wards: Cao Xanh, Ha Khanh. Ward 7 includes 3 wards: Hong Gai, Bach Dang, Tran Hung Dao. Ward 8 includes 2 wards: Hong Ha, Hong Hai. Ward 9 includes 4 communes and wards: Hoanh Bo, Son Duong, Le Loi, 3 villages (Deo Doc, Cai, Khe Len) Dong Lam commune. Ward 10 includes 4 communes: Bang Ca, Dan Chu, Quang La, Tan Dan. Ward 11 includes 3 communes: Thong Nhat, Vu Oai, Hoa Binh, 2 villages (Dong Quang, Dong Tra) Dong Lam commune.
