In the first exam session with Literature, candidate Nguyen Thanh Minh, class 12V2, Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School, taking the exam at Tran Duy Hung Secondary School (Cau Giay District) said that the exam went smoothly and he was personally satisfied with his work when the social argumentation question mentioned the topic "any homeland's sky is the Fatherland's sky" which moved him and motivated him to complete the question well.

Commenting on the Literature exam, some teachers said that the Literature exam in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam brings a lot of excitement, opportunities and challenges to candidates.

As the opening subject for this year's high school graduation exam, the first exam of the 2018 General Education Program, the Literature exam has undergone fundamental changes in the direction of approaching students' competencies; ensuring compliance with regulations on the structure and format of the high school graduation exam from 2025 announced by the Ministry of Education and Training , closely following the requirements for knowledge and skills in Literature.

The social argumentative essay requires candidates to apply the results of reading comprehension and knowledge of the country's context to write an argumentative essay on the topic: "Every homeland's sky is the Fatherland's sky" which is very up-to-date with the context of the country's construction and development, especially in the "era of rising up".

The issue is therefore both close and practical, touching the sacred love of homeland in the soul of every Vietnamese person, creating excitement for students who are preparing to enter a new threshold of life.

Organizing exams for twoeducational programs at the same time has created some differences in regulations, test times, and exam organization plans. Therefore, special attention is paid to exam locations for independent candidates and candidates taking the old program, ensuring that candidates are provided with full information and the best support.

Hanoi City has arranged 4 separate testing locations for candidates taking the 2006 general education program, including: Chu Van An High School for the Gifted (Tay Ho District), Ly Son Middle School (Long Bien District), Ha Dong Middle School (Ha Dong District) and Hong Thai High School (Dan Phuong District).

The remaining 229 exam sites are for students studying grade 12 in the new program.

At the Hong Thai High School exam site (Dan Phuong district), Ms. Pham Thi Huyen, Head of the exam site, said: “The exam site has 673 independent candidates registered to take the exam, with 23 official exam rooms, 2 waiting rooms and 1 spare room. The difference between the new and old programs is quite obvious, so we pay special attention to disseminating the regulations to both exam invigilators and candidates. Proactively disseminating the exam regulations in detail is to avoid confusion, ensure the rights and stabilize the psychology of the candidates taking the exam.

The test site also arranges a waiting room for candidates who do not complete all the component tests in the combined test, with fans, drinking water, and staff to monitor and support them while they complete the test.

It is worth noting that although all candidates were informed of the exam regulations before entering the exam room and were required not to bring their phones into the exam room, however, during the first exam session for the Literature subject, Hanoi discovered 3 cases of candidates bringing phones into the exam room and were forced to handle them according to the regulations, suspend the exam, and cancel the exam for these candidates.

Due to the important nature of the exam papers being classified as "Top Secret" state secrets, the requirement to protect the exam papers and not let them leak during the exam is the top priority for both candidates and exam supervisors.

It is known that to ensure the exam takes place safely and seriously, the City Examination Council has mobilized over 16,000 officials and teachers to participate in exam supervision and over 800 officials and teachers to participate in exam grading.

The city police also mobilized nearly 900 officers and soldiers to participate in ensuring security and safety at examination sites, exam marking and grading sites. All 233 examination sites are supported with close coordination from the People's Committees at all levels, ready with all plans to deal with unusual situations, ensuring environmental hygiene, food safety, and health care for candidates...
