Hanoi: Fire extinguished on 22nd floor

On April 21, Hanoi City Police informed that the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force, Bac Tu Liem area team coordinated with the Management Board of IA20 apartment building, Dong Ngac ward to handle the fire in a bedroom on the 22nd floor of a 29-storey apartment building.

Accordingly, at around 2:06 p.m. on April 20, a fire broke out at apartment number 2212, building A2, apartment building IA20, Dong Ngac ward, Bac Tu Liem district. Immediately after receiving the news, the Bac Tu Liem area team mobilized 2 fire trucks and 1 fire command vehicle to perform the task.

Here, the working group determined that the fire was in the apartment bedroom, so they quickly deployed a search and rescue team to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading. The fire was controlled and extinguished.

The area of the burned apartment is ^92m2 on the 22nd floor of the 29-storey IA20 apartment building. The area of the fire is about ^8m2 in a ^15m2 bedroom. The fire did not cause any human casualties, property damage is being counted. The preliminary cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.

According to the search and rescue team, the fire alarm, fire fighting, and smoke extraction systems were still operating normally.
