Hanoi: Thousand-year mark, future aspirations through two unique exhibition spaces

The delegation of the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, led by Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation, visited the exhibition "Cultural and heroic capital Hanoi - 80 years of journey with the country" and "Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space 2025".

Also participating in the delegation were Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan; along with members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, leaders of the Standing Committee of the City People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and departments, branches, sectors and organizations.

The exhibition "Cultural and heroic capital Hanoi - 80 years of journey with the country" has an area of 700m2, belonging to Zone 1 "Vietnam - journey to a new era". This space is chaired and coordinated by the Hanoi Institute for Socio-Economic Research. The exhibition content is divided into three main spaces. Space 1 "Hanoi forever echoes the heroic song" recreates the context of Hanoi associated with historical milestones of the struggle for independence and freedom.

Space 2 “Reconstruction, innovation and development with the country” displays the achievements of economic recovery after the liberation of the South and the socio-economic achievements in 40 years of renovation. Space 3 “New development thinking - building a cultural - civilized - modern - globally connected capital” introduces the development orientation of the capital. The spaces use a variety of display methods such as models, artifacts, documentary films, billboard images, integrating interactive technology, applying digital technology, AI, robots and sound and light installations.

Next, the delegation visited "Hanoi 2025 Traditional and Creative Space", the largest exhibition area for units and localities within the framework of the Exhibition "80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness". This space has an area of 15,000m² in the outdoor area to the right of the Vietnam Exhibition Center. With the theme "Tradition and Creativity", this space is designed as a continuous journey. Viewers can go back in time to the thousand-year heritage, then step into a modern space with advanced technology and breakthrough initiatives. This is a message affirming the aspiration of the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital for a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" Capital, prosperous, happy, pioneering with the whole country into the new era.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai and the city delegation visited all six exhibition areas at the "Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space 2025". The areas include: "The Redness of Hanoi" displaying traditional handicraft products from craft villages; "The Quintessence of Craft Streets" where artisans demonstrate product making; "Pioneering Technology" introducing high-tech products such as AI, digital technology, and semiconductor industry; "Hanoi Gifts" honoring culinary quintessence; "The Source of Culture" recreating the flow of heritage through the experience of ca tru, cheo, and xam; and "Village in the City" recreating the space of a Northern countryside village in the heart of the city.

The two exhibition spaces in Hanoi, which took place from August 28 and are expected to end on September 5, have attracted thousands of residents and tourists.
