Governor of Saint Petersburg (Russia) congratulates Vietnam's National Day, highly appreciates the role of people-to-people diplomacy

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), Governor of Saint Petersburg (Russia) ADBeglov sent a congratulatory letter to Mr. Phan Anh Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.

In the letter, Governor ADBeglov wrote: "On this day 80 years ago, the destiny of the Vietnamese nation entered a new chapter. The Vietnamese people overcame difficulties and hardships, demonstrating deep solidarity and determination to regain freedom and national sovereignty . Today, Vietnam is completely confident in moving forward, still preserving the correct ideology of President Ho Chi Minh."

According to Governor ADBeglov, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations plays an important role in the country's development: "You not only mobilize all domestic forces, but also develop comprehensive cooperation with foreign partners, build a bridge of trust between millions of people, and at the same time preserve sustainable core values ​​such as peace , mutual respect and equality."

The leaders of Saint Petersburg city highly appreciated the contributions of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations in promoting the Vietnam - Russian Federation cooperative relationship, expressing their belief in the successful and comprehensive cooperation between the two sides.

In closing the letter, Governor ADBeglov wished Mr. Phan Anh Son to always be full of enthusiasm for his noble mission, and emphasized that people-to-people diplomacy activities will continue to contribute to the development of an independent and powerful Vietnam.
