Ca Mau and Ninh Binh create new growth momentum in the 2025-2030 period

On the afternoon of December 7, in Ca Mau, representatives of the People's Committees of Ca Mau and Ninh Binh provinces signed a cooperation agreement for the 2025-2030 period to promote complementary advantages, effectively exploit resources to make a socio-economic breakthrough, and further strengthen the solidarity and close relationship between the two localities.

Speaking at the event, Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai affirmed that the cooperation aims to maximize potential and mutual complementary advantages.

Accordingly, the two localities focus on mobilizing resources to promote comprehensive development in the fields of economy , culture and digital transformation. The Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee emphasized the goal of fostering solidarity to contribute to the successful implementation of the national strategy on green growth and energy transformation.

The foundation for a new growth phase is built on impressive results in the 2022-2025 period. The two provinces have successfully organized more than 10 supply-demand connection conferences with the participation of more than 150 businesses.

Economic units have realized investment opportunities by signing more than 60 memorandums of understanding on trade cooperation. The agricultural sector recorded a big step forward when successfully testing BL9 rice variety and the male giant freshwater prawn farming model in Ninh Binh. Key OCOP products such as Ca Mau crab or dried shrimp have expanded their market share in Ninh Binh and vice versa.

The leaders of the two provinces have agreed on five key strategic tasks for the 2025-2030 period. In terms of economy and trade, the two sides will promote investment and develop product supply chains. The agricultural and marine economic sectors will focus on high technology and circular economic models. The two localities are committed to promoting innovation and digital transformation in science and technology. The tourism industry will be stimulated through tour linkages and the construction of iconic architectural works.

In the field of social security, Ninh Binh will support resources to build schools in the border area of ​​Ca Mau.

Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Lam Van Bi identified cooperation with Ninh Binh as an important driving force for the locality to make a breakthrough. Ca Mau province is preparing to merge its administrative boundaries from July 1, 2025 to open up a new development space with the position of a growth pole of the Mekong Delta.

Mr. Lam Van Bi said the province will direct departments and branches to urgently specify the cooperation content. Ca Mau commits to creating the most favorable conditions and prioritizing projects of Ninh Binh enterprises with sustainable spillover effects.

Sharing the same view on the development strategy, Permanent Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung affirmed his determination to bring the cooperative relationship to a new level. The recent practical results are vivid proof of the effectiveness of the North-South friendship. The leaders of the two provinces hope that the new cooperation program will create practical achievements and promote the socio-economic development of both Ca Mau and Ninh Binh in the new era.
