On December 5, in Hanoi , the Hanoi - Seoul Urban Policy Sharing Forum was held with the participation of Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Young San, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon and Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen. The event opened up opportunities to exchange experiences in urban planning, development and technology application, thereby strengthening cooperation between the two capitals.

Sharing the same view, Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Young San also highly appreciated the role of the forum. He emphasized that over the past 30 years, the Vietnam - Korea relationship has developed strongly, substantially and effectively in many fields, in which cooperation between Seoul and Hanoi is typical with the frequency of lively exchanges and delegations. The Ambassador hopes that the discussions at the forum will contribute to promoting the planning strategy for large inner-city rivers and opening up opportunities for common prosperity between the two countries.

Considering these orientations to be very close to Seoul, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen hopes that the two sides will continue to work together in the fields of digital transformation, smart city construction and urban planning. Hanoi also asked Seoul to consider the possibility of strengthening cooperation in implementing planning on both banks of the Red River and developing specific projects to serve the two localities.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee believes that the discussion contents at the forum will contribute to perfecting the knowledge and practical foundation for the two sides to expand deeper cooperation channels in the coming time.
At the forum, representatives of the Seoul and Hanoi metropolitan governments exchanged experiences in urban transport planning, information technology application and digital transformation in city management. These initiatives are expected to create a foundation for deeper cooperation activities, in line with the trend of sustainable urban development in the region.
