There are 26 private high schools and 5 vocational training institutions assigned additional enrollment quotas for grade 10. Of which, private schools are assigned 180 classes, with 7,775 quotas, vocational training institutions are assigned 73 classes, with 3,240 quotas.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has assigned quotas to 119 public high schools, with 78,400 quotas, 77 private schools with 27,919 quotas and assigned quotas to 29 vocational education - continuing education centers with 12,080 quotas, and 55 vocational education institutions with 16,440 quotas.
According to the department's regulations, candidates applying to public high schools will have to take the 10th grade entrance exam with three subjects: math, literature, and English. Each candidate will have 3 wishes to enter public schools and can register wishes to enter specialized high schools.
As for self-financed public schools, private schools, and vocational education and continuing education centers, they can choose admission methods based on entrance exam scores or transcripts right after the 2024-2025 school year ends.
The Department is marking the entrance exams for grade 10 public high schools. It is expected that from July 4 to July 6, the exam scores and admission scores for public schools will be announced.
