Singer Nguyen Vu makes 34 MVs promoting the beauty of new provinces and cities

On the afternoon of August 6, in Ho Chi Minh City, singer Nguyen Vu held a press conference to announce the Vietnam community music project - The Era of Rising, celebrating 34 new provinces and cities after the merger.

Nguyen Vu makes AI MV without fear of criticism

These are 34 completely new compositions composed by musicians Dat Hanh, Chi Vu, Long Ho Huynh and singer Nguyen Vu.

Each song praises the beauty of the country and people of a province or city in the country such as: Vietnam - The era of rising, Vietnam - a green journey, Rich land, peaceful sky, Radiant city in the middle of the mountains and rivers, Tay Ninh - the land of love, Dong Thap - the land of goodness and fragrance, Vinh Long - bright days, The West resonates with love, Dak Lak - the fragrance of the great forest blends with the taste of the sea...

Songs with gentle, cheerful melodies were invested in by Nguyen Vu to be filmed into stage MVs and released on YouTube one after another.

In particular, the song Vietnam Green Journey was applied AI technology. All images including natural scenery and Nguyen Vu's appearance in the MV were created by AI, some images are not the same as the original.

“Vu wants to apply technology to keep up with the trend of the times. However, technology cannot be 100% real. If the audience is harsh, they will comment that it is not the same or not beautiful” - Nguyen Vu shared.

He told Tuoi Tre Online that the community project was a contribution, and he was not afraid to praise or criticize. He admitted that the MV AI did not do the best, but it was within acceptable limits.

He further explained that making the AI MV was not to include personal images, if he wanted to do so, he would have filmed it. Nguyen Vu wanted to recreate the beautiful natural scenery across the country because he did not have enough time or conditions to film many beautiful scenes.

Collaboration with unknown musicians

Talking about the meaning of the project Vietnam - The Rising Era , Nguyen Vu said he wanted to honor and promote the beauty of the new provinces and cities after the merger, while calling for the preservation and promotion of regional cultural values, arousing national pride.

When performing in the provinces, Nguyen Vu will invite local singers to sing songs in this project, and film outdoors to create new versions.

Nguyen Vu hopes that through each song, the audience will have more interesting information and characteristics of each locality through the landscape and people.

The musicians collaborating with Nguyen Vu this time are new musicians who have not yet become famous. He said that he prioritizes inviting new musicians, helping them have a platform to perform because to become famous musicians, they used to be unknown.

Previously, Nguyen Vu was one of the first singers to sing music by musician Nguyen Van Chung.

With over 30 years of being involved in the arts, Nguyen Vu has left an impression on the audience, but he is not afraid of being told he is "out of date" or "out of date".
