On the afternoon of July 16, the Steering Committee for Waste Prevention and Control and the Special Working Group of the City People's Committee on removing difficulties and obstacles, effectively supporting businesses and project investors held a meeting to remove difficulties and obstacles, and speed up the progress of investment projects in the area.
Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, Head of Steering Committee for Waste Prevention and Control and Head of Special Task Force Tran Sy Thanh chaired the meeting.
Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Xuan Dai said that since its establishment, the Steering Committee has held 5 meetings, reviewed and resolved difficulties for 13 projects and assigned a total of 22 tasks to departments, branches and localities. To date, 11/22 tasks have been completed.

Regarding the results of the implementation of the tasks assigned by the Special Task Force, based on the conclusions of the Chairman of the City People's Committee at the meetings, the Task Force has assigned 69 tasks. The results of the implementation to date are as follows, 44/69 tasks have been completed.
At the conference, representatives of investors and related units reported on the progress and implementation status of the project as well as current difficulties and problems that need to be resolved by the city.
Accordingly, the projects still facing difficulties include: Investment project to build a lake park in the Southwest Urban Area of Hanoi; Sports Center project in Long Bien district (old); Van Phuc fuel station project in Ha Dong ward (formerly Ha Dong district); Investment project to build a housing area for sale on land lots marked C1B and C2A of Van Canh University Urban Area, Van Canh commune, An Khanh commune, Hoai Duc district (old).
At the conference, members of the Steering Committee and the City's Special Working Group directly answered and resolved current difficulties and problems for investors and related units.
In the spirit of reporting at the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested members of the Steering Committee and the Working Group, in which the Department of Finance is the focal point, to quickly review each project to see where the difficulties and problems are so that they can have timely solutions.
The City Chairman also requested the Department of Finance to complete the review before July 31 to report to the City as well as the Steering Committee and Working Group to have specific solutions for each project.
“The general guiding principle of the City is to always create the most favorable conditions for businesses, investors as well as related units to speed up progress to complete the project according to the set schedule,” emphasized Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh.
According to the report of the Hanoi People's Committee, in the first 6 months of the year, the City has focused on completing a large amount of work in a short period of time, focusing on the work of reorganizing the apparatus and putting into operation the 2-level local government model from July 1, 2025 to ensure timeliness, methodicality, smoothness and efficiency.
Regarding the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for the first 6 months of the year, the city still maintained positive economic growth and achieved high budget revenue results.
Urban planning and beautification work has been accelerated; economic-social infrastructure and urban infrastructure have received attention and investment with many key projects and works.
Accordingly, the City has focused on removing bottlenecks in planning, investment, construction, land...; speeding up the implementation of key projects, such as: Starting the Tu Lien bridge project...
Accelerate disbursement of projects such as: Ring Road 4 - Capital Region (disbursed 16.4% of capital plan), Ring Road 1, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, phase 1 (disbursed 51.2% of capital plan), National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section (disbursed 19.6% of capital plan), Thang Long Avenue expressway connecting National Highway 21 to Hanoi - Hoa Binh expressway (disbursed 29.5% of capital plan), Yen Xa wastewater treatment system project (disbursed 37.2% of capital plan).
Currently, the city is also focusing on directing the acceleration of progress, ensuring the goal of completing the plan and putting the works into operation, use, serving the socio-economic development of the capital.
