Hanoi: Pilot electric tourist bus route in Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh areas

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch No. 4462/UBND-DT on the plan to organize a pilot operation of an electric bus route to serve people and tourists visiting tourist attractions in the Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh areas.

Considering the proposal of the Department of Construction in Report No. 190/BC-SXD dated July 30, 2025 on the proposal to organize a pilot electric bus route to serve people visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hoan Kiem Lake and tourist attractions in Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh areas, the City People's Committee agrees in principle with the proposal of the Department of Construction.

At the same time, temporarily apply the unit price of public passenger transport services by buses using clean fuel (CNG) according to Decision No. 2307/QD-UBND dated May 25, 2021; the pilot period is until December 31.

Electric buses will serve people visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum and Hoan Kiem Lake.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and related units to organize the pilot operation of the bus route in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring safety and efficiency, reducing personal vehicles, and limiting congestion and pollution.

In addition, the City People's Committee also requested units to review and adjust operational targets to suit reality, ensuring efficiency, convenience, and attracting people to use the service. Synthesize and evaluate the pilot results, advise, and report to the City People's Committee in December.
