Fuel prices fluctuate in opposite directions, gold prices continue to increase

From August 4 to 8, according to the Dong Nai Market Management Department (Department of Industry and Trade), the price of live pigs in localities remained at around 63-75 thousand VND/kg depending on the region.

In addition, during the week, gasoline prices increased by 207-234 VND/liter. Oil prices decreased by 54-268 VND/liter; fuel oil alone increased by 114 VND/kg compared to the previous week. Notably, domestic retail gas prices decreased by about 18,000 VND/12kg cylinder from the beginning of August 2025. Currently, the prices of common gas types range from 432-455,000 VND/12kg cylinder, depending on the brand.

In Tran Bien ward, at the end of this week, the price of SJC gold bars was recorded at a record high of 124 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 500 thousand VND/tael compared to the end of last week. Similarly, the price of Hung Thinh Vuong gold rings of Doji is currently at 120 million VND/tael, an increase of 500 thousand VND/tael for selling compared to last week.
