"The preparation time between the AVC Nations Cup 2025 and VTV Cup 2025 is only 10 days, so we do not change much in terms of playing style or personnel. The U21 team also has athletes who have to return to take graduation exams, so the team arrangement needs to be considered," Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared about the preparations of the two Vietnamese women's volleyball teams at the VTV Cup 2025 Announcement Ceremony.
VTV Cup 2025 has the participation of 8 teams, the teams are divided into two groups. Group A includes Vietnam, Philippines, Sichuan Club (China) and Australia. Group B includes U21 Vietnam, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan and U21 Thailand. The teams compete in a round robin to calculate points. In the next round, the first team of Group A will meet the fourth team of Group B, the first team of Group B will meet the fourth team of Group A, the second team of Group A will meet the third team of Group B, the second team of Group B will meet the third team of Group A, then determine the teams to the final.
This year’s tournament will take place from June 28 to July 5 in Vinh Phuc . The organizers said the venue was chosen after a thorough survey, based on three criteria: facilities, travel distance, and the ability to promote the local image. At the same time, this is also a playground for teams to prepare professionally and review their forces before the 33rd SEA Games taking place at the end of the year in Thailand.
The VTV Cup 2025 champion team will receive 12,000 USD . The runner-up will receive 7,000 USD , third place 5,000 USD , fourth place 2,000 USD . The style and encouragement prizes will each receive 1,000 USD . In addition, the organizing committee will also award 9 individual prizes, including the title of Miss with a prize of 500 USD .
