Vietnam's two opponents at the AFF Cup both have new coaches.

Mr. Albert Capellas replaced the position of Belgian coach Tom Saintfiet, who suddenly left the Philippines team and went to Africa to lead the Mali team.

Coach Albert Capellas will start taking charge of the Philippine team from the FIFA Days (a series of days when teams around the world compete internationally, according to the schedule set by FIFA) next October.

Coach Albert Capellas will then participate in the AFF Cup 2024, a tournament in which the Philippines is in the same group with Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia and Laos.

Meanwhile, another opponent of the Vietnamese team in Group B of the 2024 AFF Cup, Myanmar, also has a new coach. Former Myanmar football star Myo Hlaing Win was appointed as the head coach of the team, preparing for this year's Southeast Asian football championship.
